Columbia man charged after officers find 75 grams of marijuana, loaded gun

A Columbia man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon after officers pulled him over for a defective front head light.

Police said they made contact with the driver, Chuot Kim Sem, and could smell the strong odor of marijuana.

Officers searched the car and found 75 grams of marijuana, a loaded hand gun and a digital scale.

When Sem was taken to the police department for processing, officers found cocaine on him.
