Randolph County arrest four after finding stolen generator

Randolph County deputies arrested four men on Sunday after officers made a vehicle stop at the intersection of Route C and Route Z.

Deputies said the truck they pulled over fit the description of a truck used in a theft in Randolph County. Officers also said the truck did not have any license plates.

In the bed of the truck, there was a large portable generator believed to have been stolen out of Randolph County.

Officers said they saw an assault rifle and two handguns in the truck.

The four men in the truck refused to get out of the vehicle and would not cooperate with the deputies.

Additional officers were called to the scene and the men were arrested.

The generator was positively identified as stolen and was returned to its rightful owner.

All four men face possible charges of resisting arrest and the driver also faces charges for receiving stolen property.

Deputies said they would be withholding the identities of the men until formal charges were filed.
