Mild and windy Tuesday, cold end to the week
TONIGHT: It will be a cold, crisp night with temperatures falling into the upper teens under mostly clear skies and light winds of 2-4 mph, switching to the south by morning.
TUESDAY: We’ll begin to see a brief warm-up on Tuesday as temperatures rise into the mid 40s. We’ll have gusty winds along with very dry air so it is important that you avoid outdoor burning as we’ll have an elevated fire danger. Southerly winds of 10-18 mph will gust as high as 30 mph at times.
EXTENDED: It won’t be as cold Tuesday night with low temperatures in the mid 30s but southerly winds will continue at 10-16 mph, generating wind chills in the 20s. Into Wednesday, even warmer conditions are expected as southwest winds up to 20 mph carry in the mild air. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 50s under partly cloudy skies. However, another cold front will move through Wednesday night and temperatures will only reach the low to mid 30s then fall into the teens Thursday night. After a cold end to the work week, temperatures will briefly climb into the 40s Saturday as winds shift to the south once again. The warming won’t last long as another surge of cold air moves in by Sunday along with a slight chance of rain and snow. Watch ABC 17 news and check back on our website for updates to your forecast.
