22-year-old arrested after MSHP seizes 100 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

UPDATE 1/29: Anderson was charged with attempting to traffic drugs, trafficking drugs, delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive within the right lane of a highway.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to a tweet from Troop F with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 100 pounds of marijuana were seized during a traffic stop on I-70 in Cooper County on Friday afternoon.

Nicholas Anderson, 22, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested for felony trafficking drugs. Anderson is being held in the Cooper County Jail.

Troop F also said, “Side Note: Troopers no longer field test drugs (includ. marijuana) due to the lethal potential of it being laced w/ fentanyl. ANY testing is now done in a controlled lab.”
