No Two Days Will Be the Same This Week
TODAY: Sunday will be partly cloudy as temperatures warming into the upper 40s and low 50s. By this afternoon we will begin to see clouds build into the area, and that will be thanks to our second cold front to pass through our viewing area this weekend. Westerly winds will shift out of the north as the front begins to make its way across the region this afternoon and evening.
TONIGHT : We’re continuing to track this quick moving system as it moves towards Mid-Missouri. Still think the best chance for light snow to fall tonight is between 10 pm and 3 am. A lack of moisture and the fast moving nature of this system is really going to limit any accumulations on grassy surfaces to 1/2″ tonight.
EXTENDED: Our fast system will be out of the area by the time most are heading to work or school in the morning. However, cold temperatures from the frontal passage will still be in place, with highs barely getting above the freezing mark. Tuesday we begin to rebound with our temperatures back to more seasonal highs. Wednesday we’ll warm up above average in the middle 50s before yet another strong cold front rushes through the area. The Wednesday night into Thursday continues to be the trickiest day to forecast as data continues to pour in. Models seem to be in agreement with there being precipitation with this system but the exact location and amount continues to fluctuate.
