Woman faces possible charges of assault after she was accused of elbowing officer in face

Columbia police arrested Hannah Boehm on Wednesday night after officers observed a car traveling northbound on Providence Road with an expired registration.

Police said they conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and found Boehm, the passenger, acting nervous and looking at the patrol vehicle.

Officers said they searched the car and found a digital scale and a glass pipe inside a bag on the passenger floorboard.

Police said as they went to handcuff Boehm, she pulled away from the officer and elbowed the officer in the face.

Boehm faces possible charges for assault, resisting arrest and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
