Columbia police looking for driver accused of driving erratically, failing to stop and crashing

Police confirm they’re looking for a driver who refused to pull over Wednesday morning during a traffic stop.

Police say an officer tried to pull over the driver around 8:45am near the Rangeline roundabout for driving erratically.

They say the driver didn’t stop, but police did not initiate a chase.

Officers say the driver eventually crashed in the 800 block of Moss Street and took off in another car.

Police did not provide a possible suspect or vehicle description of those involved.

ABC 17 News has a crew heading to the crash site right now to find out more details and will update you as we learn more.
