Troopers release Selective Traffic Enforcement Program totals

Troopers released the total number of violations and summonses that officers issued during their Selective Traffic Enforcement Program.

A spokesperson for Troop F said a total of 28 arrests were made and 68 warnings were issued during the operation.

The program was conducted in Boone, Callaway, Cooper and Montgomery counties on Interstate 70 on Sunday.

Totals include:

-15 speed summonses

-2 following too close summonses

-2 driving while suspended/revoked summonses

-1 uninsured motorist summons

-2 misdemeanor warrant arrests

“Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be striving to do all we can to rid our roads of unsafe drivers,” said Capt. Michael Turner. “Please help us by being the safest driver you can possibly be. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”
