Holts Summit man pleads guilty to child molestation

A Holts Summit man pleaded guilty to two counts of child molestation in the first degree on Monday.

Duane Flowers was arrested for the offense in 2015 after a victim told authorities that he had inappropriately touched her.

Holts Summit police investigated the incident and it was determined that Flowers had been sexually abusing the victim since 2013.

The case was previously heard by a jury in October, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict.

Flowers was sentenced to six years in prison on each count. He is currently in the Callaway County Jail.
