Dry morning commute, but changes are on the way by this evening

MONDAY: The morning will start off with a mix of clouds and sun with temperatures in the mid 50s, but we’ll watch another front push into the area bringing dropping temperatures and a chance for more rain into Monday afternoon. Temperatures will be in the 40s by lunch time and dropping below freezing afternoon the evening commute home. Winds will be very breezy out of the northwest at 15-20 mph gusting to near 30 mph. By 5-7 PM, we are tracking a fast change over to wet snow that will accompany those strong winds. Accumulations look spotty and will likely only stick on grassy surfaces due to air temperatures hovering around freezing.

EXTENDED: Scattered snow showers will come to an end late Monday night & Tuesday morning leaving for a dry, but cold morning commute. Low temperatures drop back into the upper 20s, but with breezy northwesterly winds remaining, we will see wind chills in the teens by daybreak under mostly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: Tuesday morning clouds will begin to clear leading to a sunny day with temperatures in the 40s. Through the work week we see another warming trend allowing highs to reach back above average. By Thursday and Friday high temperatures will be back in the mid to upper 50s. More changes are on the way back the weekend as we track our next system to arrive by Saturday. This will give way to more rain showers Friday night and Saturday, which will also bring cooler temperatures for the end of the weekend. Highs drop into the upper 30s by Sunday.
