Mild weekend with possible rain

TONIGHT: Overnight lows will stay above freezing, only dropping into the low to mid 30s with the help of southwesterly winds up to 13 mph. Low clouds will build and we could see some patchy fog develop tonight thanks in part to melting snow. Patchy drizzle is also possible.

SATURDAY: Drizzle is possible in the morning with low clouds lingering through the day. Temperatures will be mild, reaching the upper 40s north of I-70 to the low 50s south with southwest winds at 6-10 mph.

EXTENDED: Drizzle and patchy for are possible Saturday night as low level moisture increases with lows only dropping into the low to mid 40s. Sunday will feel more like late March as temperatures reach 60 degrees with southerly winds up to 15 mph. As a cold front approaches, rain chances increase through the afternoon Sunday with showers likely in the evening and into the overnight hours. A few t-storms are also possible. Rainfall amounts will range from a tenth of an inch to a half inch with highest amounts east of HWY 63. Rain moves out by 3 AM Monday and we’ll be dry through the morning before a mix of rain and snow moves in during the afternoon with the best chance north of I-70. At this time, little to no snow accumulation is expected. Any minor snow accumulation will be slushy and mainly on grassy surfaces. High temperatures reach the low 40s Monday, dropping below freezing in the late evening hours with overnight lows in the mid 20s. Temperatures will reach the lower 40s Tuesday and Wednesday with a warming trend late in the week, reaching the low 50s by Friday.
