Doctors seeing the flu, pink eye and GI bug

Doctors around Mid-Missouri are seeing a record number of patients for the flu.

Dr. Tara Flynn at MU Health said Mizzou’s Urgent Care saw a record number of flu patients this week.

Flynn said they are picking up just as many type B cases as they are type A flu.

She also said pink eye and a G.I. bug are making their rounds.

Symptoms of the bug are abdominal cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. Flynn said it usually passes within 24 hours, but it comes on quickly and violently.
