Columbia police arrest two after armed robbery in Hyvee parking lot
UPDATE 1/16: Crowley has been charged with stealing.
ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Robert Crowley and Lesa Perryman after officers were dispatched to Hyvee Supermarket in the 400 block of Nifong Boulevard on Sunday night for an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot.
A man told police he got in the car with a woman and a man inside of the vehicle pointed a gun at him and demanded his property.
Police said the suspects took the victim’s property and fled the scene in a gold sport utility vehicle.
Officers said the victim was not injured during the incident.
Police said they found the suspect vehicle on East Stadium Boulevard near the Hollywood Stadium 14 Theater.
Crowley got out of the car and fled on foot while Perryman stayed in the car, police said.
A K9 Unit was called to the scene to track Crowley’s path and officers shortly found him.
Crowley was arrested and faces possible charges of robbery, armed criminal action, resisting arrest and had two outstanding warrants.
Perryman was arrested and faces possible charges of robbery.
