Columbia police arrest man accused of choking woman after not buying him cigarrettes

Columbia police arrested Christopher Mick on Tuesday after officers were dispatched to a domestic assault in the 2200 block of Stadium Boulevard.

Police said Mick wanted the victim to buy him cigarettes but she refused.

Mick was accused of placing his hands around the victim’s neck and choking her.

Officers said they saw red marks around the victim’s neck.

Police also said the victim had an exparte against Mick.

Mick was arrested and faces possible charges of domestic assault and for violating the order of protection.
