Callaway County deputies arrest fugitive wanted for possession of a controlled substance

Callaway County deputies arrested Laura Sanders on Monday after officers determined she was a wanted fugitive out of Lincoln County.

Deputies said Sanders was wanted for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Officers said when they were patrolling the Kingdom City area, they saw a car that was believed to be associated with Sanders.

Deputies said they approached the car and saw Sanders in the passenger seat.

Sanders was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail and was later transferred to the custody of Lincoln County.
