Benton County deputies arrest man after finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia

Benton County deputies arrested James Hix, 59, on Tuesday after officers executed a search warrant in the 300 block of C Street in Ionia.

Deputies said during the search they found 4.5 grams of methamphetamine on Hix. Officers found another 5.5 grams of methamphetamine in the residence and a digital scale, plastic bags and other drug paraphernalia.

Hix was placed under arrest and his bond was set at $50,000.
