Mizzou basketball falls to Florida in final seconds
The crowd at Mizzou Arena let out a collective gasp as Chris Chiozza ran down the court all alone and won the game off an uncontested lay up.
Mizzou fell to Florida 77-75 in a stunning final minute in which the Tigers had the ball and a chance to win the game with 17.4 seconds. Chiozza got the steal from Jordan Geist and sent Mizzou fans home silent.

With the loss, Mizzou falls to 11-4 (1-1 SEC)
Jordan Barnett set a personal record with 28 points as well as adding nine rebounds.
Kassius Robertson also had 12 points while Jontay Porter had nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.
The Tigers shot 48 percent from the field and 58 percent from three.

Mizzou jumped out to an early lead as Barnett hit a three, and Terrence Phillips got a quick steal and score to put Mizzou up 19-10. At one point in the first half, Barnett had 13 points while Florida’s entire team had just 12.
The Tigers added to the lead quickly by jumping out to na 12-point lead off a corner three by Porter. Mizzou led by as much as 12 in the first half, but an 11-2 run by the Gators closed the gap to 26-23.
Kevin Puryear helped stop the run by backing down a defender, spinning and getting the basket and the foul to help put the Tigers back up eight with four minutes left in the first half.
The Gators then went on a 10-0 run to take their first lead of the game as Keith Stone knocked down a jumper putting the Gators up 34-32 with just over one minute to play in the half. The Gators led 36-35 at the break despite Mizzou shooting 67 percent from three and 15 points from Barnett.
Out of the second half, Barnett stayed hot nailing a pair of threes to help put the Tigers up 47-42 with 15:42 left in the second half.
Jontay Porter picked up his fourth foul with ten minutes to play leaving Cuonzo Martin with both Porter and Tilmon having four fouls.
After Florida narrowed the gap, Barnett took over nailing a three as Jordan Geist followed it up with a three of his own on the following possession to put Mizzou up 62-52 with just under 10 minutes to play.
Tilmon later fouled out after a questionable call with roughly six minutes left in the second half.
With Tilmon out of the game and Porter playing with four fouls, the Gators closed the gap to just three with 3:05 left to play.
Florida went to the line and made two free throws to tie the game at 75 giving the Tigers a chance to win the game with the ball and 17.4 seconds left in regulation. Everything fell apart out of the inbounds as Chiozza ended Mizzou’s chance at a victory.
Mizzou next plays Georgia at home Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 8 p.m.
