Suspect in Moberly manhunt arrested

Moberly police have arrested the suspect accused of leading law enforcement authorities on a manhunt Thursday night.

Cody Kitchen was arrested in the 800 block of Myra Street in Moberly. Police said he was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

Police said Kitchen fled Thursday night after a traffic stop in Moberly near Johnson street and Adams streets. Moberly police brought in the Columbia Police Department’s K-9 unit to try and locate Kitchen, but called off the search late last night due to the cold weather.

An active Randolph County felony parole warrant was out for Kitchen.
