Man arrested after being indicted for statutory sodomy

Jefferson City police arrested Joshua Urban on Sunday after he was indicted by the Callaway County Grand Jury for two felony counts of statutory sodomy.

Callaway County deputies said the indictment was a result of an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s office at a house in the Holts Summit area.

Deputies said Urban was transferred to the Callaway County Jail and has a bond set at $75,000.

Officers said the investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.

Deputies also reminded citizens that if they believe a child has been abused or neglected they should contact the state Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 800-392-3738 or call their local law enforcement agency.
