Callaway County deputies find wanted fugitive hiding under pile of clothes

Callaway County deputies arrested Jonathan Burns on Sunday afternoon after they were dispatched to the 4900 block of County Road 229, just east of Millersburg.

Deputies said they had previously received information that Burns, a wanted fugitive, was at the location.

Officers said they searched the residence and found Burns hiding under a pile of clothes.

Burns had four active warrants out of Boone County for a DWI, property damage, possession of a controlled substance and stealing. Burns also had an active warrant out of Callaway County for stealing.

Burns was taken to the Callaway County Jail and had a bond set at $8,500.
