Two charged in robbery near Fulton

The Callaway County prosecutor charged two men Friday in connection to a robbery earlier in the week just outside of Fulton.

The sheriff’s office said deputies were called to the 4700 block of Ebersole Loop Thursday night after two people said they were assaulted and robbed.

The suspects took off before deputies arrived on scene. They were identified as Dustin Lenzing, 22, of Fulton, and Michael Branch, 31, of Moberly.

Later Thursday night Lenzing and Branch were pulled over by Fulton police officers on Tennyson Road and taken into custody.

Lenzing was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Branch was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

Both are being held in the Callaway County Jail on $100,000 bonds.
