Maries County deputies arrest felon accused of having multiple illegal weapons, drugs

Maries County deputies arrested Timothy Georges, 44, after officers were conducting drug interdiction traffic patrol when they saw a car with defective equipment.

Deputies said when they made contact with Georges, they determined he had a suspended Missouri driver’s license, no insurance on the vehicle and had license plates that belonged to another vehicle.

Officers said they saw what appeared to be several bags of marijuana and two Glock magazines inside of the car. Officers also found a large amount of cash, counterfeit money and a controlled substance on Georges.

Deputies said they thoroughly searched the car and found nine guns. Three of them were loaded and chambered, two were stolen, and two had been illegally modified.
Georges is a convicted felon in seven states and is not allowed to have firearms. Georges has previous arrests for stealing a motor vehicle, property damage, stealing, forgery, larceny, vehicle theft and illegal use of a credit card.

Deputies said that Georges’ vehicle was towing a trailer that had a UTV, scooters, lawn mowers and other items that were suspected to be stolen.

Georges admitted to officers that he was en route to meet a person that is well known by authorities as a drug trafficker.

Georges was charged with unlawful possession and transport of an illegal weapon, stealing, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, driving with a revoked or suspended license, and operating a car with defective or inoperable lights or signal.

Georges was being held in the Maries County Jail on a no-bond warrant and has since been returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections for a parole board review.
