Man accused of kicking a patrol vehicle arrested by Columbia police

Columbia police arrested Scott Jarvis on Friday night after officers conducted a traffic stop with a car in the area of Paris Road and Whitegate Drive for a license violation.

Police said when they made contact with Jarvis they determined he had an active warrant for his arrest.

Officers said they searched Jarvis’s car and found marijuana flakes, needles with methamphetamine and a spoon with a crystal substance on it.

Police said when they were searching the car, Jarvis began yelling and kicking the inside of a patrol vehicle.

Jarvis faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance, resisting or interfering with arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
