UPDATE: CPD charges man with raping 18-year-old woman

UPDATE 2:57 P.M.: Reynolds has been charged with first degree rape.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested William Johnson just after midnight Tuesday suspecting him of committing rape.

Officers said sometime between Sept. 22 and 24, the 60-year-old Columbia man had sexual intercourse with the female victim without her consent.

According to the police report, the victim is 18 years old and “developmentally delayed.”

Police said the victim told Johnson, “No,” but he did not stop.

Johnson was arrested on suspicion of first-degree rape.
