A mild start to the week
MONDAY: Patchy drizzle possible for the AM commute, but through the day we will see slowly clear skies. Our temperatures will be pleasant in the middle 50s, and it will be a good day to get in any outdoor activities. Winds will be out of the southwest up to 15 mph.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will hang around tonight, with the southwest wind up to 7 mph remaining in place as well. With the breeze in place overnight lows will only drop into the low 40s by daybreak. Feels like temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s.
EXTENDED: Temperatures will continue to be mild throughout region all the way through Thursday, ahead of our next cold front. Highs will remain in the mid to upper 50s. This cold front is set to bring some of the coldest air of the season, just in time for Christmas. Friday temperatures will drop back into the 40s with the chance of a rain and snow mix as that front pushes through. While confidence is high regarding the cold blast by the weekend, there are still things to work out in terms of if we’ll see snow. High temperatures by Saturday and Sunday will only reach into the low to mid 30s with lows in the upper teens and low 20s. There are signs though as we head into next weekend that we’ll tap into some moisture, which could bring us our first measurable snow of the season by Sunday.
