Two detained, one issued summons after shots fired call in north Columbia
UPDATE, 11:44 p.m.: According to police, officers found a shotgun near the backdoor of the home and shell casings in the backyard. There were no reported injuries or property damage. Two people were detained and one was issued a municipal summons for the incident.
UPDATE, 10:45 p.m.: Police have confirmed two people were detained after officers responded to a shots fired call Wednesday night.
One officer actually heard the gunshots.
A shotgun shell casing was found in the yard in the area of Holly Avenue and Carpenter Drive.
ORIGINAL, 10:36 p.m.: Multiple Columbia police officers are in a north Columbia neighborhood right now.
At least six police cars can be seen on Holly Avenue.
ABC 17 News has a crew on the scene reporting that at least one officer can be heard calling for someone to come out of a home.
