Feeling more like winter Thursday

TONIGHT: Lows will drop into the mid to upper 20s under partly cloudy skies. Breezy northwesterly winds will continue for the first half of the night with gusts up to 28 mph. By daybreak winds will settle to 8 mph, but wind chills will still be in the upper teens to low 20s by daybreak.

THURSDAY: It will feel more like winter as high temperatures will only reach the upper 30s with clouds around most of the day. Winds will be lighter, coming in from the north up to 6 mph.

EXTENDED: A weak area of low pressure tracks through Mid-Missouri Thursday night which could bring a few snow flurries. The up and down temperatures continue as we stay in the low 40s Friday but warm into the upper 50s Saturday as southwesterly winds become gusty once again. Sunday will be slightly cooler, reaching near 50 due to more clouds and winds shifting to the northwest as a storm system passes to our south. This will lift moisture to the north, giving us a chance of rain early in the day Sunday with .01 to .25 inches possible with highest amounts south of I-70. Early next week temperatures will level out a bit with highs in the 50s as a milder weather pattern develops.
