Jefferson City Police scheduled to host Operation T.O.Y.S. on Saturday
The Jefferson City Police Department will host Operation T.O.Y.S. on Saturday.
The event will bring municipal, county, and state law enforcement officers together as they team with a child for Christmas shopping.
Participating officers from the Cole County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Capitol Police, Missouri Department of Corrections and Lincoln University Police will be at the event.
The event will allow children who may not otherwise be able to have a Christmas to go shopping while accompanied by an officer.
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Wal-Mart located at 401 Supercenter Drive.
