Emergency crews respond to I-70 eastbound for motor-vehicle collision

UPDATE 3:30 pm: According to the crash report, a Toyota Avalon went off the left side of the roadway and went under the median cable.

Troopers said the car overturned, ejecting the driver.

The driver, Hannah Filkins, had moderate injuries and was not wearing her seatbelt. She was taken to University Hospital for her injuries.

A one-year-old girl had minor injuries and was also taken to University Hospital.

The Toyota was totaled.

UPDATE 2:30 pm: MODOT officials alerted drivers that delays are likely due to the crash.

Traffic is backed up for at least two miles, officials said.

ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews responded to the 135 mile marker on I-70 eastbound on Tuesday afternoon for a motor-vehicle collision.

According to public dispatch, more than eight emergency vehicles responded to the area.

ABC17 has heard reports of a possible rollover ejection and has crews on their way to the crash.
