Coat needed all day long

TUESDAY: You’ll need a heavier coat as temperatures will be colder, only reaching the upper 30s to near 40 by the warmest part of the day. For the morning commute we will see temperatures in the low 20s with wind chills in the teens. Skies will clear by the afternoon leading to mostly sunny skies. Northwesterly winds at 8-15 mph will make it feel like at or below freezing all day long. Winds will be gusty at times up to 24 mph.

TONIGHT: It will be another cold night as temperatures drop into the upper 20s through the overnight hours under partly cloudy skies. Wind will remain out of the southwest, but becoming west by morning up to 10 mph. Feels like temperatures will be in the low 20s for the Wednesday AM commute.

EXTENDED: Winds will remain breezy on Wednesday and we’ll warm back up with high temperatures back up to the lower 50s under mostly sunny skies. A weak disturbance tracks through Mid-Missouri by Thursday which could bring a few flurries, but the overall weather pattern remains dry through most of next week and the drought conditions will likely worsen through the next week. The up and down temperatures continue as we cool to near 40 Thursday and back into the 50s by the weekend.
