Woman charged with stealing money from cleaning service

A Columbia woman has been charged with stealing and forgery after being accused of forging time sheets at a local cleaning service.

Police said the investigation revealed Camisha Moore and Joseph Lavalais stole money from Express and Atkinz Cleaning Services by adding time to their time sheets that they did not work.

There were also several supervisor signatures on the time sheets that had been forged, officers said.

According to the probable cause statement, Moore stole $2,590 by putting on her time sheets that she had worked an extra 125.55 hours.

Police said Moore had previously been arrested for assault, driving while revoked, and operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license.

Lavalais was arrested on Dec. 4 for the incident.
