Number of flu cases on the rise

Updated counts of flu cases in Boone County and Missouri show the flu season not only has an early start, but it continues to grow.

The Dec. 7 Flu Report says 30 new cases were reported in Boone County in the week of Nov. 26 through Dec. 2, bringing the total number of flu cases reported for this season to 103.

The whole state of Missouri is reporting a season-to-date state total of 2,447. This is up from the Nov. 25 total of 1,545.
