UPDATE: Person hit by car in north Columbia crash in critical condition
UPDATE 12/6: University Hospital confirmed on Wednesday the 78 year-old pedestrian, Michel Munyantarama, is in critical condition.
ORIGINAL: A pedestrian is recovering after being hit by a vehicle in north Columbia Tuesday night.
The collision happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Highway 763, also known as Rangeline Street.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed the person was struck and suffered a leg injury.
It’s not yet clear how the crash happened, but the person was speaking with emergency crews on the scene.
