Storm damage across Jefferson City; roofs ripped off, trees down

Cleanup crews will be busy in the Capitol City after a storm toppled trees and ripped roofs off homes and buildings.

ABC 17 News crews saw damage along Lafayette and Dunklin streets.

The Second Christian Church Disciples of Christ had part of the annex building roof ripped off.

A property owner on Dunklin lost shingles and had two large trees fall across the driveway of his property.

Lincoln University also had damage. At least two trees near their Lafayette/Dunklin entrance fell over, one being uprooted and the other snapping over their brick sign marking the edge of campus.

Mediacom and Centurylink employees were also out repairing lines that had been damaged causing customers to lose internet, phone and cable access.
