Boone County deputies arrest man accused of having a meth lab in his car
Boone County deputies arrested Joshua Macomber on Friday when officers observed a truck did not have front or rear license plates in the area of Hinton Road and Highway VV.
According to the probable cause statement, Macomber admitted to deputies that he did not have a driver’s license.
Deputies said Macomber had five prior felony driving while suspended or revoked license, three misdemeanor driving with suspended or revoked license and two no driver’s license convictions.
Officers said they found a clear plastic bag with white residue in Macomber’s pocket and components of a meth lab in his car.
Deputies said they found lye, muriatic acid, lithium batteries and instant cold two packs.
Officers also said they found a plastic bag with several unused syringes and two used syringes.
Macomber later admitted to deputies that he had plans to use the items to make methamphetamine.
Macomber was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and driving with a revoked license.
