Third suspect in marijuana growing operation arrested

A third suspect in a Columbia marijuana operation was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

It comes after police went to the 3500 block of Woodland Drive Thursday after receiving a report of a disturbance involving a weapon.

While on scene, they found the marijuana growing and arrested Casey and David Barbero.

William Vandeventer was taken to the hospital on Thursday for an evaluation and was released Tuesday afternoon.

Vandeventer was then arrested for Distribution/Delivery/Manufacture/Produce Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia due to a glass smoking pipe in his bedroom.
