Columbia fire evacuates two buildings after gas line was struck

UPDATE 11:03 am: The Columbia Fire Department has reported that the gas leak has been stopped.

ORGINAL STORY: The Columbia Fire Department evacuated two buildings on Tuesday morning after firefighters responded to the 2000 block of Ash Street after a gas line was struck.

Firefighters said Ameren is on scene working to get the gas shut off.

According to public dispatch, at least three emergency vehicles are on scene.

ABC 17 has crews heading to the incident, working to get more information about how the gas line was struck.
