Victim identified in fatal pedestrian crash on Gillespie Bridge Road

The pedestrian that was killed in the Gillespie Bridge Road crash on Wednesday has been identified as Timothy A. Wright, 27, of Columbia.

ABC 17 previously reported that the Boone County Sheriff’s Office confirmed one person was killed in a crash Wednesday night. A female motorist reported colliding with the victim, according to the news release.

The road remained closed for quite some time while emergency crews investigated the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.
