ORIGINAL: Columbia police said two people were injured and taken to the hospital after crashing their truck on I-70 Drive Southeast early Monday morning.

Police were called to the 4600 block just before 1 a.m. and, along with firefighters, closed a portion of the road.

ABC 17 News crews saw equipment at the scene that would suggest someone in the truck had to be extricated, but police were not able to confirm that information.

The Columbia Police Department’s accident reconstruction team were also called to the scene, according to police.

The road was back open around 4:15 a.m.

ABC 17 News will update this story once more information is available.
