President Donald Trump to speak in St. Charles on Wednesday
President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak in St. Charles on Wednesday. It will be his second appearance in Missouri in just three months.
He is expected to talk about the Republican-led tax reform proposal, after the House passed a $1.5 trillion bill and Senate GOP leaders hope to push their bill through this week.
Trump also talked about tax reform in his August trip to Springfield, Missouri.
The Missouri Republican Party released a statement expressing its excitement for the visit. “President Trump is determined to ease the tax burden on our citizens and businesses,” said Todd Graves, chairman of the party.
Republican State Attorney General Josh Hawley is expected to be at the event on Wednesday. Hawley supports the proposal and plans to run for the Senate next year against incumbent Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill.
