Pedestrian hit by car while crossing street in south Columbia

Columbia police officers said a man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries Sunday afternoon after being hit by a car.

Police said the man was using the crosswalk at Grindstone Parkway and Rock Quarry Road when he was hit by the car.

Officers said the driver of the car was given a ticket for hitting a person in a crosswalk.
