Beautiful and sunny weekend in the works
TODAY: It will be a cool start to the day, with a few high clouds possible through midmorning. If you love sunshine there will be plenty of it through the day. Despite the passage of a cold front we saw overnight, temperatures will still warm into the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Highs will be about 10 degrees above average, with very little cold air advection out of the north. Winds through the day will be out of the NNW up to 11 mph.
TONIGHT: A few high clouds are possible through the night, as a very weak upper level disturbance tracks into Mid-Missouri. No precipitation is expected through the night, but we will briefly see the return of the low to mid 30s. Winds will shift out of the southwest through the night, which will set the stage for warming as we head into Sunday and the coming days.
EXTENDED: The dry, mild weather continues into Sunday with the day starting off in the mid 30s but reaching close to 60 degrees in the afternoon under sunny skies. The spring-like weather continues into Monday with highs in the upper 60s and gusty southerly winds. Tuesday will also be warm with highs in the lower 60s with more clouds passing through. Our next slight chance for rain holds off until Wednesday into Thursday morning as another cold front is set to track into Mid-Missouri. This will allow for a slow cooling trend by the middle of next week with temperatures back into the lower 50s by Wednesday, with the return of the 40s by Friday.
