Fire truck destroyed after trash burn becomes uncontrollable in Gasconade County
Emergency crews responded to a fire off of Elk road in Gasconade County on Friday afternoon.
The Belle Fire Department chief said the fire started from a trash burn.
Firefighters said one brush truck is a total loss and a shed was a heavily damaged in the fire. Two houses were in danger because of the blaze, officials said.
Firefighters said the unseasonably warm weather, dry conditions and wind made the fire uncontrollable.
Crews said the fire is out but they will be on scene to monitor the area.
