Dry and cool Thanksgiving night, with breezy conditions for Friday

TONIGHT: Tonight will remain mostly clear, but winds will shift back out of the south allowing for overnight lows to remain above freezing. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s, but it will feel cooler with the wind chill in place by the morning. If you are planning on doing some Black Friday shopping, temperatures will be in the upper lower 40s by 2 AM, with a light breeze out of the south.

FRIDAY: It will be a cool start to the morning, with wind chill values in the low to mid 30s across Mid-Missouri. Under mostly sunny skies we will see highs quickly climb into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees, ahead of a cold front. As the cold front approached Mid-Missouri, we will see very breezy conditions in place. Winds will be out of the southwest up to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 30. The front will clear Mid-Missouri through the evening hours, with little if any cold air filtering in on the backside of it.

EXTENDED: The weekend looks dry but cooler with highs in the upper 50s through Sunday. The weather pattern for the next week will likely save many Mid-Missourians money on their heating bills, as temperatures will remain in the 50s and 60s. Our next slight chance for rain holds off until Tuesday into Wednesday as another cold front is set to track into Mid-Missouri.
