Cole County Sheriff’s Office investigates shooting
The Cole County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was investigating a shooting Wednesday night.
According to Sheriff John Wheeler, one person was shot.
ABC 17 News first heard reports of a gunshot victim around 5:30 p.m.
Right now, information is limited and it is unclear when or where the shooting happened before the victim arrived at a Jefferson City hospital.
Wheeler said the victim was stable, but not cooperating with investigators as of Wednesday night.
