Woman charged with burglary and stealing, accused of not scanning items at Walmart

Pettis County deputies arrested Gina Carver on Sunday after a Walmart employee saw Carver stealing.

According to the probable cause statement, the employee saw Carver at a self-checkout skip scanning selected items and then place them in a bag in her cart.

Deputies said the employee asked to see Carver’s receipt and noticed some items were not listed on the receipt.

Officers said an employee went through the bag and collected each stolen item. The total amount of stolen items was $184.73.

According to the probable cause statement, Carver had three separate stealing cases out of Warrensburg.

Carver was charged with burglary and stealing.
