Jefferson City police arrest man after finding him in a business dumpster with burglar tools

Jefferson City police arrested Dorian Livingston on Saturday after officers observed him inside a business dumpster during closed business hours.

According to the probable cause statement, the business had a “no trespassing” sign that was visible.

Police said Livingston jumped out of the dumpster and fled on foot after being given commands to stop.

Officers said they found a backpack belonging to Livingston that had a knife, a mini pry bar, a long lasting cell phone charger and a lock with two keys.

Police said when they interviewed Livingston he said he did not commit any burglaries while being asked about the items in his backpack.

Livingston also had a flashlight and black glove on him, police said.

Livingston was arrested and charged with trespassing, resisting arrest and possessing burglar tools.
