Fulton police arrest woman accused of attempting to steal a car, driving it into a shop door

Fulton police arrested Jasmine Allen, 31, on Monday morning after officers responded to the 5600 block of Hawk Lake Drive for a report of a burglary in progress.

The victim told police that Allen was inside her shop attempting to steal a car. Allen drove the car into a shop door, causing damage to the building and vehicle, and then fled from the shop, police said.

Officers said the victim was able to take a picture of Allen.

Officers said Allen ran to a nearby residence and attempted to force her way inside. The resident was able to remove Allen after being assaulted by her, officers said.

Allen was arrested and faces possible charges of burglary, tampering, property damage and assault.

Police said Allen also had a warrant out for her arrest from the St. Louis area.
