Deputies arrest man accused of holding a machete in a threatening manner, bringing drugs into jail

Boone County deputies arrested Anthony Black after officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence.

According to the probable cause statement, Black was arguing with a woman about property.

The victim told deputies that Black had assaulted and yelled at her and that he took off his belt and attempted to hit her with it. Black also grabbed her by the neck and slammed her onto the ground, deputies said.

Officers said Black was also accused of holding a machete and stabbing the floor.

The victim told deputies she was afraid for her safety.

Officers said when they arrested Black and took him to jail, they found marijuana in his pants pocket.

Black was charged with domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance at a private jail.
