Gunfire in Jefferson City leaves vehicles,homes with damage

The Jefferson City Police Department responded to the 200 block of North Ventura Avenue Sunday night on reports of gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived around 8:05 p.m. they found shell casings. several vehicles, one apartment damaged by gunfire.

Police say no injuries have been reported.

Sgt. Michael Ottolini, with Jefferson City Police Department told ABC 17 News, they believe it was a confrontation in the parking lot.

Police say there is no suspect information.
